mcwww hat für eine Ausstellung in Bogotá einen Beitrag entwickelt (3), der das Format des Video Tutorials als Ausgangspunkt für ein experimentelles Lehrformat nimmt und daraus eine performative und kollektive Momente erzeugt. »memeclassworldwide videotutorial-documentation« ist ein Hybrid aus Videokunst, Anleitungsvideo und Online Performance.
Das Video ist Ausgangspunkt für unseren Workshop. Im ersten Teil des Workshops recherchieren und diskutieren wir experimentellen Video- und Online-Lehrformate. Daraus entwickeln wir Entwürfe für eigene Formate, die in Richtung Video, Podcast, oder Anleitung gehen können, und dabei immer auch das Moment der Aktivierung, Partizipation oder Performance mitgestalten.
Aktuelle Lehr- und Lernprojekte der TeilnehmerInnen können gerne in den Workshop eingebracht und weiterentwickelt werden. Die KünstlerInnen der mcww werden durch Gastvorträge Inputs liefern und zur gemeinsamen Diskussion digital anwesend sein. memeclassworldwide (mcww) is a collective of artist which runs instagram accounts (1) that post internet memes which about #artschoollife and issues with the administration of their school. Out of this, they developed a self-organised seminar at Muthesius Kunsthochschule Kiel, Germany (2). mcww seeks to develop a shared language about digital creative practices and online experiences that exceed the silos of media art or net culture. Beyond the disciplinary divide, they seek to include practices and aestheitics that institutions of art education exclude from their curricula. Amongst these is the rearticulation of learning, teaching and sharing not only as means to the end of education, but as an artistic practice.
For a recent exhibition in Bogota, mcww developed »memeclassworldwide videotutorial-documentation« (3), an artwork that took the form of a hybrid of video, tutorial video and online performance. This piece is the starting point for our workshop.
In the first part, we will collectively research and discuss experimental forms of video and online learning and teaching. From this body of research, we develop sketches and prototypes of our own hybrid formats in the second part. These integrate aspects of video, podcast or instruction manual, while always also designing their moment of activiation and performance by online and offline viewers.
You are invited to integrate their current learning and teaching projects in this workshop and take it as space to develop their current work further. Das Lehramt Mediengestaltung lädt zum Online-Workshop Die "memeclassworldwide" ist mit einem New Media Art Workshop im Zuge des Jahresthemas "METAMORPHOSE" zu Gast an der Abteilung Mediengestaltung bei Bernhard Garnicnig. memeclassworldwide (mcww) ist ein Kollektiv aus KünstlerInnen, die aus ihrem institutionskritischen Meme Account auf Instagram (1) eine freie Klasse (2) an der Muthesius Kunsthochschule Kiel gegründet haben. mcww widmet sich digitalen kreativen Praxen und der gemeinsamen Suche nach künstlerischen und gemeinschaftlichen Sprachen und Formen, die Phänomene des Vernetzten Digitalen zum Ausdruck bringen.
