Stellenantritt, nach Möglichkeit mit 1. Oktober 2021. Die international ausgerichtete, transdisziplinäre Studienrichtung raum&designstrategien ist seit 2002 an der Kunstuniversität Linz etabliert und in dieser Form in Europa einzigartig. Sie ist an den Schnittstellen von Kunst, Design und Architektur angesiedelt. Im Zentrum des Bachelor- und Masterstudiums steht die künstlerische Erforschung und kritische Reflexion von Raum. Projektbezogene Auseinandersetzungen sind vom zeitgenössischen Raum-Diskurs geprägt und reichen von performativen Strategien und Interventionen über Installationen im Maßstab 1:1 und ortsspezifischen Arbeiten bis hin zum künstlerischen Forschen in allen Medien, in urbanen wie auch ruralen Räumen. Durch ihre experimentelle Ausrichtung nimmt die Studienrichtung raum&designstrategien am Institut Raum und Design eine verbindende Rolle ein. Der Aufgabenbereich der Professur umfasst die inhaltliche Weiterentwicklung der Abteilung sowie deren Leitung, die Konzeption und Durchführung von Studienprojekten, die Betreuung von Studierenden im Bachelor-, Master und PhD-Studium sowie die Mitarbeit an der Selbstverwaltung der Universität.(www.strategies.ufg.at) Einstellungserfordernisse:

If possible, the position should be taken up by 1 October 2021. The internationally oriented, transdisciplinary space & design strategies programme was established at the University of Art and Design Linz in 2002 and is, in its current form, unique throughout Europe. It is situated at the crossroads of art, design, and architecture. The bachelor and master programmes centre around the artistic exploration of and critical reflection on space. Project-based engagements with the topic are influenced by the contemporary debate on space and extend from performative strategies and interventions to 1:1 installations and site-specific works to arts-based research in all media, in urban as well as rural spaces. Owing to its focus on experimentation, the space & design strategies programme plays a connecting role at the Institute of Space and Design. The responsibilities of the professor include making content-based contributions to the further development of the department; serving as the head of the department; designing and implementing study projects; supervising and advising students in the bachelor, master, and PhD programmes; and participating in the university’s self-administration.
